About the opportunity:
The Customer Service Representative provides customer service in a fast-paced DSD environment with tight timelines focusing primarily on the processing of numerous order types into SAP within the national order department. The secondary responsibility is the daily management of the route extraction process.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Process all incoming orders received through inbound calls, fax, email and electronically according to route cut-off times. Execute all aspects of order management to ensure customers' requirements are met.
- Management of electronic orders through the mapping of new customers to EDPAR table, correcting failed orders, and communicating issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
- Promote the E-form ordering platform to customers and coordinate the system set-up with internal departments
- Respond promptly to internal/external customer inquiries received through inbound calls and emails. Unresolved issues and complaints to be forwarded to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Creation of pre-booking/forced distribution orders received by Sales and coordinate their entry aligning to regular delivery schedule
- Promote feature activity to all accounts by communicating and up-selling product to customers.
- Provide customers with updated order forms and advise of product innovations and discontinuations
- Manage the national route extraction process to ensure the steady flow of orders to the warehouse floor to facilitate the pick/pack/ship process to DSD customers.
- Perform daily checks to ensure delivery/shipments/transfer orders are completed on time and without issue. Provide daily distributor summary reports
What you will bring:
- College diploma in Business or Marketing an asset
- 1-3 years customer service or inside sales experience
- Excellent data entry skills with emphasis on accuracy and proficiency in using the numeric keypad
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills
- High capacity to multi-task with strong organization skills
- Basic knowledge of standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP an asset
- Team player, understanding the needs, requirements, and priorities of the department.
- Bilingual an asset
