AltaGas - Senior Partner, Learning and Development
This is a new and exciting opportunity reporting to the Senior Director, Talent designing, building, and implementing AltaGas' Learning and Development function.
You Will:
- Build AltaGas’ new learning and development function including designing and implementing multi-modal approaches and strategies over a multi-year time horizon – note this is a build (not operate) role.
- Ensure learning and development efforts are prioritized, skill-based, and enable the execution of our overall business strategies.
- Support and drive an organizational commitment to internal employee growth and development.
- Address the complexities of development needs across different business units and geographies, often with different starting points and priorities.
- Ensure diverse development and learning methods (multi-modal) are considered and embedded into the learning and development approach.
- Evaluate learning and development options through high-quality business cases.
- Work closely with vendors and internal partners to source, develop and deliver high-quality programming.
- Facilitate sessions as required to all levels of the organization (in both virtual and in-person settings).
- Assess and measure the effectiveness and impact of development plans and programs.
- Manage the overall learning and development budget.
You Have:
- Experience in building a learning and development function (or similar).
- Minimum of 7 years in Learning and Development with experience in creating and executing learning strategies as well as designing and delivering programs.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Critical and creative thinker.
- Drive for execution and results.
- Experience in sourcing and managing vendor (external) partnerships and relationships.
- Project scoping, planning, and management.
- Budget management.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Learning management systems (LMS) experience.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, education, business, or a related field.
