An Occupational Therapist working in schools plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic success and overall well-being. They assess and address the unique needs of students, focusing on enhancing their ability to participate in school activities, such as learning, socializing, and self-care. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop customized intervention plans that promote students' independence and skill development. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy

Two to three years’ experience including conducting/collaborating with parents and school and District staff; and providing indirect therapy.

Eligible for membership in the College of Occupational Therapists of B.C.

Possess a valid B.C. Driver’s License

Access to a reliable vehicle / means of transportation.

Strong interpersonal and consultation skills

Clear, accurate communication via written reports

The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
