Mackenzie Community Services is looking for a talented clinical counsellor to add to our expanding team in a non-profit agency. This is a full-time unionized position. In this role, you provide direct counselling services such as intake, assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, skill building and maintenance to both the youth and adult population. Consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs, you understand the importance of being involved in community education, development, coordination, and prevention/early intervention programs. You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that conflicts are resolved, and appropriate outcomes are achieved.


Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

• Masters in Social Work, Educational Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level, or equivalent.

• Preference will be given to applicants with 2 years recent related experience working with clients providing a wide range of community based mental health services.

• Must have basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and a criminal record check for vulnerable populations is required.

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle are an asset. Benefits: This position requires HSA union membership.


At the end of a successful 90-day probation period, employee will receive a generous benefits package, be added to the Municipal Pension Plan, and have paid sick and vacation days (vacation after 1 year). Wages: HSA Grid Level 16P ($41.00/hour) Hours: 30-35 hours per week
