Our client, one of Montreal's leading clothing manufacturers, is looking for a dedicated Controller to oversee their accounting department.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the President and COO, the Controller will be responsible for the following:

  1. Oversee and complete all aspects of accounting including invoicing, payroll, receivables and payables.
  2. Manage and comply with provincial and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  3. Preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and assistance with requests from Officers.
  4. Working with Operations to implement and oversee internal controls, monitor cost overruns and provide analysis.
  5. Preparation of quarterly and annual reporting for company Auditors.
  6. Assist with other projects as required.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  2. CPA completed, or in-process (designation is a strong asset).
  3. Strong communication skills in both English and French.
  4. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role.
  5. Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  6. Experience with ERP systems (experience with Visual Next is considered an asset).
  7. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  8. Self-motivated and able to maintain deadlines for closing processes and project timelines.
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
