Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Sheba Microsystems is an early-stage, well-funded, and fast-moving company with ground-breaking MEMS actuator technology. Our mission is to have Sheba in every camera and become a world-leading provider of camera autofocus and image stabilization systems. We are focused on industries such as automotive, drones, action cameras, security and surveillance, and compact cameras for AR/VR/MR glasses. Our actuator platform offers dramatically lower power consumption, longer lifetimes, and faster response times than current technologies.


We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the day-to-day operations and execute our vision. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in scaling technology products, managing operational complexities, and fostering a high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborate closely with the CEO to establish and execute the company’s vision, operational strategy, and scaling initiatives.

● Oversee the company’s operations, including customer relations, project timelines, production, and business development.

● Lead and manage the company’s production, supply chain, and logistics functions to meet sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction.

● Develop and sustain key strategic partnerships while providing leadership in supply chain operations and manufacturing efficiency.

● Monitor and evaluate the company’s operational and financial performance to identify areas of improvement and growth opportunities.

● Drive organizational productivity by fostering an inclusive and performance-oriented company culture.

● Create, implement, and review company policies that align with the organizational vision and culture.

● Provide mentorship and leadership across the company, serving as a role model for all employees.

● Ensure the successful scaling of Sheba Microsystems’ MEMS products to the market, leveraging deep industry knowledge and strategic insights.


Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

15+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, and business management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

● Proven experience scaling semiconductor or high-tech products to market.

● Hands-on experience with MEMS foundries and manufacturing techniques, particularly in semiconductor production.

● Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and navigate complex supply chain challenges.

● Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong ability to manage both technical and business functions.

● Extensive experience across business functions, including HR, budget planning, marketing, strategic planning, and business development.


Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience working in high-growth startups and scaling operations from inception to maturity.

● Experience in scale-up of automotive high-tech products

● Familiarity with the global technology landscape, particularly in optics, imaging systems, and consumer electronics.

● Proven track record of managing diverse teams across functions and geographies.
