Position Overview:

As a Junior EGD Technician at Playground, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of electronic gaming devices (EGD/slots). Your primary role will be to ensure that machines operate smoothly and without any technical glitches by performing preventative maintenance. We are seeking an incumbent with pertinent electronics experience to excel in this pivotal role.

Schedule: 4am start time, flexible, 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of slot machines
  • Monitor EGD activities for adherence to company policies and various gaming regulatory requirements
  • Make recommendations for improved productivity relative to mechanical and electrical requirements
  • Replace broken or damaged parts revealed from troubleshooting and process the repair paperwork
  • Respond to calls in a timely manner when machines develop a malfunction
  • Install, test, remove, and upgrade EGD machines’ software
  • Perform inspections and identify performance issues on EGD machines
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Reposition the EGD machines and ensure their connection to a power source
  • Create daily reports by recording observations and incidents

Requirements:

  • Must be bilingual (English and French) and 18 years or older
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays
  • Solid understanding of gaming regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience as a technician in a casino is an asset
