Our Vancouver client is seeking a Senior Data Quality Analyst to support audit, develop, implement, and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures within Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance team. This roles will be critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data assets across the organization. - 0127556


Initial contract: Dec 31, 2025, strong possibilities of extensions, 3 days/week in office - Richmond, BC


Must Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working as Data Quality Analyst or Data Governance Analyst conducting internal data quality audit, assessing data governance, developing processes, frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Data Governance principles, with experience in supporting data governance frameworks and applying Data Quality Assessment and Profiling techniques to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies.
  • Experience with Data Quality Tools and data governance platforms.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Environments, particularly Azure, including working with data-related services.
  • Experience in creating and managing Data Quality Rules and Metrics to monitor and track data health.
  • Experience with Data Quality Audits and Root Cause Analysis to identify systemic data issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with Data Integration tools and processes for ensuring data consistency across systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and provide guidance on best data quality practices.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, and 5-7 years of equivalent work experience in data management or IT.


Nice to Have:

  • Relevant work experience with agile methodologies in a data management environment, including continuous process improvement, data governance, and data quality initiatives.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies that support data quality, governance, and integration processes


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an internal data quality audit, assessing the current state of data governance, quality frameworks, and identifying key gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data across the organization.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and IT teams to define, implement and monitor data quality rules and metrics.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on data quality trends and metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to data stewards and data owners in identifying, resolving, and preventing data quality issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote data quality awareness, best practices, and organizational adoption.
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives by defining and aligning data quality requirements and standards.
  • Document data quality processes, methodologies, and best practices to support ongoing improvements and knowledge sharing.
