We are looking for an experienced SIEM Engineer, reporting to the SIEM Engineering Lead, to join the Cyber Fusion Centre. You will have a strong background in Detection engineering, developing monitoring solutions and will be familiar with onboarding data from varied sources. Your role in FNZ will be to build and develop the SIEM solutions for the FNZ Group, owning the lifecycle of data onboarding, use cases and automating responses. You will need to be able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Incident Response team in FNZ to identify, manage and respond to incidents
  • Create, manage and enhance the SIEM technology in FNZ
  • Rules and Use case development
  • Fine tune Use cases based on SOC team feedback.
  • Managing the SIEM infrastructure and log onboarding
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats and trends and build this into the SIEM strategy

Requirements:

  • Significant (3+ years) experience of analysing security incidents and developing security use cases.
  • Significant (2+ years) experience of administering/managing SIEM (Splunk) in a large, distributed environment
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security administration
  • Significant experience of data onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of multiple technologies:
    • Windows
    • Linux
    • Network devices (WAF, Firewalls, Switches)
    • Cloud
    • Application Logging
