Job Description

Summary:

As an In-Room Dining (IRD) Waiter at Banyan Tree Hotel, you will provide exceptional dining experiences for guests within their rooms. Your role involves delivering orders promptly and ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Order Delivery: Deliver in-room dining orders to guests' rooms efficiently and courteously, ensuring that orders are accurate and meet the hotel's presentation standards.
  2. Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, address any questions or concerns, and ensure a personalized dining experience. Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with professionalism.
  3. Table Setup: Set up and arrange dining trays, tables, or carts in guests' rooms according to hotel standards, ensuring a polished and professional presentation.
  4. Service Maintenance: Check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the meal and address any additional needs or requests promptly.
  5. Order Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen and order taker staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Communicate any special instructions or modifications clearly.
  6. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of in-room dining carts and equipment. Ensure that all used items are promptly cleared from guest rooms.
  7. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from guests regarding their in-room dining experience and report any issues or suggestions to management for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education:

  1. Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale environment.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  3. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  4. Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items and service etiquette.
  5. Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to upholding the hotel's high standards of service.

This role requires a proactive and service-oriented attitude to ensure that every guest's in-room dining experience is exceptional and meets the highest standards of luxury and hospitality.
