Job Description:

Project Planner with expertise in Primavera P6 to join a team for an exciting rail project in Toronto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring that all activities are well-planned, executed, and completed on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and milestones.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and updates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, including progress updates and forecasts, to senior management and clients.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Assist in resource allocation and management, ensuring optimal use of personnel and materials.
  • Support the implementation of project controls and best practices to enhance project performance.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the rail or transportation industry, however, other industries will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
