Our team goal is to guide teams across the organization in delivering valuable product propositions so people can work better. You will contribute to this goal by analyzing the various needs of Sherweb related to corporate projects. You will be responsible for ensuring communication between clients (internal and external) and the development department, documenting user stories and reports as well as supporting the team of programmers in their development.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role.

  • Understand the business context and the impact of projects on the organization's processes;
  • Identify and understand business needs through interviews, document analyses, workshops, data source analyses, business process, task or workflow descriptions, etc.;
  • Structure the work and steps with the team of functional analysts taking into account ongoing programs, projects and initiatives to meet the deadlines and constraints of project managers;
  • Advise and assist business units and clients with a view to improvement and innovation;
  • Participate in the definition of business opportunities and the drafting of the business case, and take responsibility for the deliverable;
  • Document the scope of projects, their objectives, their added value or the expected benefits;
  • Collaborate with architects and the development team to define coherent and relevant business and technological solutions;
  • Act as a facilitator with stakeholders in order to allow a good flow of relevant information and thus ensure that the purpose of the product meets business needs;
  • Contribute to the resolution of problems requiring analysis and detailed knowledge of the business field. You are called upon to interact with various stakeholders working in complementary areas of expertise related to technologies;
  • Act as a coach to your less experienced colleagues.

Here's what you need to have and master to get the job.

  • University degree in software development, computer engineering, information systems, business systems analysis or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business analyst;
  • More than 10 years of experience in software development and product and technology deployment;
  • Experience in analysis related to software development and implementation of technological products;
  • Experience understanding functional and technical business requirements;
  • Experience explaining requirements to the development team;
  • Able to document business requirements and create user stories;
  • Advanced understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Good adaptability to a changing environment;
  • Good command of English and French, both spoken and written;
  • IIBA CBAP is an asset;
  • Experience in identity management is an asset;
  • Ability to easily popularize and communicate information;
  • Analytical skills and ability to synthesize;
  • Ability to influence, convince and initiate required changes;
  • Listening skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Action- and results-oriented client approach;
  • Ability to work in a team, but also to demonstrate autonomy;
  • Sense of initiative and responsibility.
