Business Process Analyst

On behalf of our Public sector client, Affinity is looking for Business Process Analyst(s) to work on the development of new business processes aligned to the future state target operating model in support of the WCB’s business transformation program objectives and, specifically, the Core Solution Project (CSP).

Responsibilities:

  1. Works closely with the core project team members, which includes a representative from the business unit, IT, Testing, Training and OCM, to collaborate and ensure alignment in project goals and successful delivery of the project.
  2. Facilitate workshops on workflow/process design or improvement, as needed.
  3. Use problem-solving methodologies to brainstorm countermeasures with the business in resolving medium to large issues that may arise throughout and documenting.
  4. Attend elaboration sessions and document future state process maps and workflow for all impacted areas of the business and support areas.
  5. Provide training and support to the business team members in the development of future state process standard work documents.
  6. Leverage subject matter experts’ network/experience to compile/capture information/perspective.
  7. Provide information gathering related to the current and future processes – cycle times, benefits measurement.
  8. Build capability on continuous process improvement tools i.e., process mapping, problem solving, process standard work amongst project team members.

Qualifications:

  1. Eight (8) years’ experience in the role of Business Process Analyst on large and complex transformational projects, with demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  2. Knowledge of performance measurement methods and statistical analysis.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a demanding environment.
  4. Ability to analyze complex problems/opportunities for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Ability to coach or influence those with whom there is no authority relationship through strong facilitation, team management/building, and change management skills.
  6. Ability to support the learning of technical CPI concepts.
  7. Technical proficiency with Visio, SharePoint, and PowerPoint software.
  8. Technical proficiency with virtual collaboration tools (i.e., Miro). Strong written, oral, and graphical skills.
  9. Project Management Professional (PMP/Agile) Designation, Business Analysis, BPMN, Change Management and CPI (Lean/Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt) training and certification is an asset.
