The Director of Data & Analytics’ primarily objective is to drive our Data Driven strategy. They will be responsible for providing the right insights to drive business decisions while capitalizing on the value of the data ecosystem. Creating and implementing data strategies, leading / training, and communicating insights / trends to the Executive Team. They will also oversee the implementation and management of data governance, data policies, data compliance, and data standards.

Duties & Responsibilites

  • Strategic thinking and planning to ensure the Data Road is followed to achieve predictive and prescriptive state. Provide leadership on large cross-functional horizontal initiatives, including new Digital product/services rollouts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Team and all key business stakeholders to ensure we are driving the right insights.
  • Lead the journey of a Data Driven company with high quality analytics to create additional value to the business.
  • Assess business performances by providing key insights and relevant metrics. Including but not limited to inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution efficiency.
  • Create leading-edge analytics and leverage the data to uncover opportunities for improvement for our customer experience and ROI.
  • Lead governance of our Digital data assets, including development of governance plan and structure.
  • Lead and build a team of highly performing individuals in BI Development, Data Science and Data Analysts.
  • Business lead for the Data Committee (cross functional committee).
  • Provide Leadership to the team through coaching and development.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degrees in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or relevant experience.
Certifications:
  • BI, PMP, SQL CISA, AWS, CIPP
Skills:
  • Machine learning, Cloud computing, Decision science, Econometrics, Operations research, Business operational Delivery Process, Revenue models, ITIL, Predictive Analytics.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant Leadership experience, managing teams and dealing with Executive teams.
  • 7+ years relevant business experience in data science/ advanced analytics, data engineering, strategy, governance, ideally as a practitioner within data and/or analytics. Including Leadership of direct teams, indirect teams and processes.
  • Expertise in Analytics lifecycle and best practices for developing, testing, rolling out, operating, and maintaining a portfolio of data analytics.
