Position: Rédacteur Technique Bilingue

Location: Montréal, QC, Hybride

Durée: 12 mois

Description du poste


• Apprendre de nouvelles technologies en utilisant divers outils logiciels pour créer des documents.


• Déterminer les exigences relatives à la documentation technique.


• Recueillir des données auprès des membres du personnel technique au moyen de courriels, d'entrevues, etc.


• Lire et analyser des schémas et des dessins techniques.


• Collaborer et interagir avec le spécialiste des produits, l'autorité technique et les instructeurs techniques pour vérifier le contenu.


• Assurer la planification et les recherches relatives aux documents sur le matériel et les logiciels à l'intention des utilisateurs, afin de les rédiger et de les modifier.


• Écrire les documents à l'aide de l'éditeur XML S1000D et de l'application Word de Microsoft.


• Personnaliser les données en fonction des différences relevées dans la liste de matériels (BOM), les schémas, les dessins, etc.


• Effectuer la validation à l'ordinateur (p. ex., comparer la documentation technique au contenu des modules de données) et la validation des exercices pratiques.


• Réaliser des examens par les pairs à l'interne.


• Coordonner les processus d'examen et d'approbation.


• Proposer des idées et des solutions novatrices pour améliorer les documents et les processus de documentation.

Qualifications


• Diplôme d'études universitaires ou collégiales en communication ou en informatique


• De trois à cinq années d'expérience comme rédacteur technique


• Excellentes habiletés pour la communication orale et écrite en français et en anglais, souci du détail, capacité à comprendre et transmettre l'information technique


• Aptitude à travailler sous pression et à s'adapter rapidement aux changements de priorités et de projets


• Sens de l'organisation; capacité à gérer son temps et à s'adapter aux exigences changeantes


• Capacité de travailler de façon autonome ou au sein d'une équipe


• Maîtrise de l'outil de création XML S1000D et des applications Office de Microsoft


• Connaissance des langages HTML et DITA

Job Description


• Learn new technologies using various software tools to create documents


• Determine requirements for Technical Documentation


• Gather data from technical staff through emails, interviews, etc.


• Read and analyze schematics and engineering drawings


• Collaborate and interact with Product Specialist, Technical Authority, and Technical Instructors to verify content


• Plan, research, write and edit hardware and software user documentation


• Author documents using S1000D XML Editor and MS Word


• Customize data based on the differences in the BOM, schematics, drawings, etc.


• Perform desktop validation (i.e., compare engineering documentation versus data module content) and hands-on validation


• Conduct internal Peer Reviews


• Coordinate reviews and signoff processes


• Provide innovative ideas and solution to improve documentation and documentation processes

Qualifications


• University degree or College diploma in Communications, Computer Science


• 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer


• Excellent French and English oral and written communication skills, with an attention to detail and an aptitude for understanding and explaining technical information


• Ability to work under pressure and to easily flow with change to priorities and projects


• Organized, with an ability to manage time and adapt to changing requirements


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Proficient in S1000D XML authoring tool and Microsoft Office


• Knowledge of HTML and DITA

  • Three to five years of experience as a technical writer
