Mon Pitou is hiring a part-time casual Barista/Server to join our team. This position ranges from 10-15 hours per week, based on business needs. Shifts are typically 5 hours, with the possibility of extension.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Perform tasks for closing the store (9 PM), and opening the store (as early as 7 AM).
  2. Complete coffee orders throughout the day using a state-of-the-art espresso machine.
  3. Work independently and oversee the entire storefront.
  4. Pack and sell our retail products, including on Uber.
  5. Package and store away retail meals.
  6. Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon.
  7. Build rapport with new customers and returning customers.
  8. Liaise with other peers to help where needed.
  9. Proper cleaning and shut-down of coffee machine.
  10. Stocking/restocking of all in-store products and goods.
  11. Organize, wash and maintain dish-ware.
  12. General housekeeping and maintenance.
  13. Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company.
  14. Prevent and minimize waste.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  1. Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs. Candidates who cannot satisfy this requirement will not be considered.
  2. Evening availability is required for closing shifts.
  3. 1 year of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required.
  4. 6 months of serving is an asset.
  5. Lightspeed POS experience is a strong asset.
  6. Ability to multitask and think critically.
  7. Proactive and self-motivated.
  8. Strong communication and organization skills.
  9. Collaborative, honest, and dependable.
  10. Fluent in English.
  11. FoodSafe is a bonus.
