Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Opportunity:
Join our clients dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of various complexities and sizes. You'll provide technical leadership, direct design strategies, and lead audits and investigations, contributing to the continuous development of mechanical design standards. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot construction issues, and engage with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review and stamp mechanical projects
- Direct design strategies on complex projects
- Provide technical leadership within the team
- Lead audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations
- Support the development of design standards
- Mentor junior engineers
- Troubleshoot construction issues
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other disciplines
- Conduct site visits and reviews
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Design experience with central plant systems
- Exposure to DDC control systems
- Extensive knowledge of relevant codes and standards
- Design experience in various industries
- Engineering license in Ontario
- 10+ years of design experience in building construction
- 5+ years of design experience in Canada
- Pro-active problem-solving approach
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication skills
- Desire to work within a team
