We are seeking a self-motivated Product Manager to help us scale our next generation blockchain data platform. The data team is dedicated to all aspects of blockchain data including node ingestion, data parsing and transformations, pattern detection and insights delivery in order to support all Chainalysis solutions ranging from Investigations, Compliance and Growth. The team approaches blockchain data analysis with multiple magnifications, from a high-level 37,000-foot view down to the minutest details. This comprehensive approach not only enables the team to deliver high value data to our customers but also enables a unique opportunity for you as a Product Manager to build a holistic view of the dynamic cryptocurrency industry, blending detailed technical insights with broader market trends

In this role, you’ll:

  • You are an expert in accessing and analyzing all of Chainalysis’ datasets including blockchain data, product usage data and financial metrics.

  • You will build tools and mechanisms for consolidating and updating data regularly to make it easily accessible to all stakeholders in the company.

  • You will translate product and business questions into quantitative questions, uncover the inputs into our success metrics and start publishing weekly reports that product and data science teams use to identify critical areas of improvement.

  • You will successfully collaborate with internal engineering teams to create new datasets when we cannot answer the product questions.

  • You will create new KPIs to track the product performance that guide the product team’s initiatives.

  • You treat our internal data as a product and helped to scale the company’s analytics platforms, trained folks to leverage BI tools, and provided your colleagues with easier access to insights.

  • You will be a critical contributor to the company’s pricing strategy for different products and access levels.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, minimum 2 years of product management experience with proven results.

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics or a quantitative discipline preferred.

  • Professional work experience in a hands-on analytics function with proven quantitative orientation.

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business and product questions into quantitative problem statements, structure complex analysis, implement large scale analytical solutions and drive business and product insights.

  • Advanced skills in SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and databases (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Athena).

  • Knowledge and experience with data pipeline technologies (e.g. Kafka and DBT) and basic data architectures (e.g. Event-Driven, Lambda, Data Warehouse etc..) (

  • Experience in inventing new metrics, conducting root cause analysis, testing hypotheses and developing reporting/visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau).

  • Ability to work with Data Engineers and Scientists to mine the right data sources efficiently and accurately.

  • Fluency with statistical analytics and a programming language such as Python etc.

  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritization of multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results.

  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.

  • A Just Do It attitude and ability to move with urgency and customer obsession.

Nice to have experience:

  • Understanding of blockchain data

  • Experience in building pricing models and conducting cohort analysis

  • Experience with distributed compute technologies such as Spark

  • You are passionate or curious about the Blockchain, Crypto, Web 3 space
