Job Opportunity: Sr. .NET & GIS Developer

Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Office Location: OCIO Headquarters, 40 Higgins Line, St. John's, NL

Work Hours: 7 hours/day, 5 days/week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. .NET & GIS Developer to support the MSIS Enhancements Initiative within the OCIO Design & Delivery Branch. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in software development, system integration, GIS application development, and ensuring secure system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business/system requirements for secure application development.

Develop, modify, and maintain .NET applications and integrate them with other software programs.

Design, develop, test, and implement secure computer systems.

Prepare and execute test plans (unit, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing).

Perform quality assurance & peer reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Assist in system integrations (e.g., ePayment, CAMP).

Conduct vulnerability assessments & transition procedures for secure application deployment.

For GIS-Specific Roles:

Provide technical & analytical expertise for GIS projects.

Develop, test, and maintain GIS applications as decision support tools.

Work with spatial databases and translate user requirements into GIS applications.

Must-Have Skills:

7+ years of experience in .NET development (C#, SQL, system integrations).

Strong experience with database management tools.

Hands-on experience in system integration projects (ePayment, CAMP, etc.).

Ability to prepare & execute test plans and perform data validation.

GIS development & spatial database management experience (for GIS roles).
