Job Purpose

Join us and electrify your career As an Electrical Engineer, Product Owner in the Electronic Product Development group, you will be involved in all stages of the life cycle of high voltage traction inverters, from the architecture to the production, through the design and the validation. You will be at the forefront to support the various production lines, whether in Quebec, China, Mexico or India. You will be part of a team involving experts from all fields, and will need to be imaginative and creative in order to ensure the efficiency and the quality of Dana TM4 traction systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for overall technical ownership of a product (inverter or motor). Primary Duties:

  1. Responsible for completion of the different product and design review gates as per Dana development process.
  2. Collaborate with the program and project manager, the verification and validation group and the prototype teams to meet program milestones.
  3. Ensure delivery of technical deliverables as per the development process.
  4. Main interface responsible for coordination and communication with internal stakeholders for a product (prototype, V&V, project manager, purchasing, simulation, core team and manufacturing).

Your challenges:

  1. Planning and monitoring of design activities for a given product, from architecture to production;
  2. Track design activities and deliverables for a given product;
  3. Understand power electronic circuits (DC / DC, DC / AC);
  4. Understand the principles of functional safety according to ISO26262;
  5. Supervise the work of technicians and assemblers when required;
  6. Participate in design reviews of printed circuits board;
  7. Participate in design reviews of complete products (electro-mechanical integration);
  8. Represent the company as a technical expert when meeting with clients;
  9. Propose, improve and maintain the processes of design, documentation and release of electronic cards;
  10. Participate and support quality problem solving exercises;
  11. Contribute to the research and development of new technologies for electronic products.

Your strengths:

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other equivalent field;
  2. Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ), an asset;
  3. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in electronics design;
  4. Experience in team and personnel management, an asset;
  5. Experience in the automotive industry, an asset;
  6. Experience in automotive functional safety according to ISO26262, an asset;
  7. Knowledge of Altium Designer, an asset;
  8. Demonstrated ability to document one's work;
  9. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams;
  10. Fluency in French and English, spoken and written.
