DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) role is responsible for developing and implementing technology design for customer-specific voice, data, and dedicated Internet solutions for our business customers. Applying engineering training and background, the CSE handles design analysis, estimates cost, and initiates approval processes to ensure projects are profitable and in the best interest of the company and the customer. As the overall project management lead, the CSE provides a smooth and efficient network building process. Collaborating with many internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers, the CSE works to leverage the best capabilities for high-quality customer-specific services in a timely and cost-effective manner as well as working with Senior Network Engineering to learn the network configurations of Telephone, Video, IP, and Transport Networks. Together with the Network Engineering team, the CSE also ensures all technical specifications of our national network engineering requirements are being met.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified new or recent graduate engineer who is an effective communicator, customer-focused, has exceptional analytical skills, and is able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge in budget management and economic evaluation, has a sharp concept for business solution design and delivery, and a flexible team player with superior organizational skills all describe what it takes to be successful in this role.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with preference given to Electrical or Industrial disciplines.
  • Understanding of network design, beneficial to achieving business customer solutions.
  • Knowledge or experience from telecommunication is preferred, with emphasis on telephone, data networks, and IP.
  • Highly driven, good time-management.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a team environment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, fluent in MS Office (especially Excel and Visio).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, as some travel may be required.
  • Certification in SS&, SIP, CCNA, or CCNP is an asset.
  • Security/Cyber Security Awareness.

The successful candidate must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 upon hire, subject to Federal Human rights law.
