Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Advisor (Assurance)

Reports to: Manager - Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering

Business Unit/Division: IT

Location: Toronto ON 5 days onsite

Accountability:

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering Manager, the Senior Cybersecurity Advisor (Assurance) ensures that the stakeholder security requirements necessary to protect the organization's mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes.

Certifications or Designations:


• Relevant certifications such as CGRC, ISSAP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or similar certifications are highly desirable


• Nice to have SABSA SCF/SCP/SCM, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC100), Identity and Access Administrator (SC300), Information Protection Administrator (SC400)

Experience


• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat and risk management.


• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).


• Experience with risk management tools, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability assessment tools.


• In-depth understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and mitigation strategies.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.


• Knowledge of and experience with operational technology – ICS Systems, SCADA, and industrial internet of things (IIoT).


• Knowledge of and experience in the IT industry – standards creation in Network/Telecom, Security, Server/SAN backup, Database/Middleware or Applications/Reporting


• Familiarity with security architecture frameworks (e.g. SABSA) as well as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity framework, Information Security Forum (ISF) Standard of good practice (SoGP) and Information Security Management System (ISO) standards.
