Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business and Strategic Planning, you will be responsible for co-ordinating communications strategies and tactics, business activities and ad hoc projects (communications, education, stakeholder relations, process optimization). You will provide sound management of projects and deliverables, including team activities, budgets and timelines, as well as general co-ordination support for Mauril operations.

Your Responsibilities Business Activities and Ad Hoc Projects
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports based on information and highlights gathered from the in-house team.
  • Co-ordinate activities within the various project phases. Ensure delivery on time and on budget. Monitor progress of projects and review critical stages with management.
  • Estimate the budget, time and resources required for road map deliverables jointly with the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning, as well as internal and external teams. Monitor the capacity of the in-house team to complete planned deliverables.
  • Help negotiate agreements with project participants both in-house and externally, based on project needs. Verify that contracts and project participant mandates cover all the project needs, and monitor their application.
  • Follow up with internal and external resources to co-ordinate deliverables (e.g., assignment, post-production and communications teams; translators and copy editors; external consultants).
  • Take responsibility for conducting project post-mortems in conjunction with in-house teams, presenting the resulting reports to the Senior Manager, Business and Strategic Planning.
Communications Activities and Ad Hoc Projects
  • Oversee the management of a communications editorial calendar. Ensure on-time delivery. Track progress and review the critical path with the Manager, Marketing Communications and Media Relations.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure that deadlines are met for the creation, production and sending of communications material, including following up on briefs, production progress, approvals and delivery.
  • Co-ordinate graphics requests, translations and approvals with in-house teams.
  • Produce, with the user relations officer, reports on feedback received from users.
  • Collect data, review analytics and prepare social media reports to measure impact.
  • Manage, dispatch and vet Q&As and updates to communications material for stakeholders.
  • Assist the communications manager with specific, one-time tasks.
Job Requirements Qualifications
  • Eight years’ experience in a digital work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or substantial equivalent experience in media, communications, advertising, digital marketing or a related field

  • Experience co-ordinating projects
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills, diligence, tact and team-playing attitude
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French, an asset
  • Solid command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, versatile, flexible, and adaptable to change
