Job Summary:As a System and Network Administrator within the Haivision IS team, your involvement will span from collaborating in planning the IT roadmap to installing and maintaining hardware and software systems across various locations. You will also be responsible to ensure system performance remains optimal, reliability stays high, and updates are seamlessly integrated. You will act as a mentor to the resources under your responsibility. Your expertise will also contribute to shaping efficient IT processes, refining maintenance approaches, and creating comprehensive policies and documentation. ResponsibilitiesSystem Management - Install, configure, and maintain various operating systems and servers. Ensure system performance remains optimal and updates are seamlessly integrated.Network Administration - Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.Security Oversight - Implement and monitor security protocols. Ensure the organization's network and data are protected from threats.Backup and Recovery - Implement and manage system backups. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.User Support - Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems promptly. Develop user documentation and training materials.Project Management - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IT-related projects and initiatives. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and stakeholders.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience as a System/Network Administrator. (Active Directory, Entra ID, PfSense, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Suite)Proficiency in various operating systems and servers. (Windows, Mac, Linux, FreeBSD)Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and security principles. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms. (VMWare, Hyper-V, Kubernetes) Experience with system monitoring tools and methodologies.(Prometheus, Zabbix) Knowledge of backup/restore solutions and disaster recovery strategies. Familiarity with project management lifecycle and tools (Jira, Confluence)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in both French and EnglishCertifications like MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA A+ is an asset.ABOUT HAIVISION: Haivision Systems Inc.
