Guided by our core values of closeness, teamwork, diversity, and excellence, our team of 1,000 expert consultants, representing 35 different nationalities, collaborates across 10 international offices: Paris, Lyon, New York, Montreal, London, Brussels, Geneva, Lisbon, Porto and Casablanca.We are looking for a Network Engineer to join one of our clients, a major corporate investment bank based in Montreal.Context and Role Objectives: The Network Services group oversees the bank's core network infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and security across global environments. In this role, the consultant will split time between operational support, project contributions, and continuous improvement, working closely with global teams (applications, governance, infrastructure, automation, security).You will be involved in activities such as:Deployment of Cisco ACI in core data centersImplementation of Cisco DNA within the campusParticipation in the global network automation roadmapOperational support (Levels 2/3), incident/problem management, and change executionCollaboration in an Agile (Scrum) delivery modelDay-to-Day Responsibilities: Operational Support & Monitoring Provide Level 2/3 support for network operations during business hoursPerform daily checks and communicate morning reportsMonitor critical network components and troubleshoot incidentsManage incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution and communicationHandle request management: prioritization, execution, and follow-upContribute to operational documentation and process optimizationParticipate in on-call rotations (overnights/weekends, approx. once a month)Change & Configuration ManagementPlan and execute changes during non-business hours (evenings/weekends)Review configuration changes with Level 3 engineersEnsure compliance with internal governance and change management standardsProject InvolvementSupport major infrastructure initiatives across data centers and campusesContribute to the deployment of Cisco ACI and DNA CenterParticipate in global migrations, upgrades, and network lifecycle programsCollaborate with architecture, security, and applications teams on project deliveryAutomation & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in the network automation strategy (Python, Ansible, GitHub)Help improve monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboardsPropose enhancements to reduce incident recurrence and optimize performancePROFILE Experience Required:5+ years of hands-on experience in network operations and/or network securityProven experience supporting large enterprise environments (preferably financial sector)Strong understanding of ITIL best practices (Incident, Problem, Change)Technical Expertise: Core Networking:Cisco Catalyst (3k/4k/6k/9k), Cisco Nexus (2k/3k/5k/7k/9k)Layer 2/3 technologies: STP, HSRP, VDC, VPC, VLAN, LACP, OTVRouting platforms: Cisco ISR/ASRRouting protocols: OSPF, BGP, MPLSMulticast technologiesTelecom concepts such as DWDMSecurity & Perimeter:Experience with firewalls: Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASANAC solutionsWireless technologies (WiFi)Tooling & Probes:Monitoring tools: Shinken, NagiosNetwork visibility platforms: CorvilMatrix switches: Gigamon, AristaAutomation & Scripting:Unix/Linux basic administrationPython & Ansible scriptingGitHub for version control and automation pipelinesNice to Have:Experience with Cisco ACI (or strong motivation to learn)Exposure to network automation frameworks or CI/CDKnowledge of Agile methodologiesQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical diploma (DEC), or equivalent industry certificationBonus: Cisco CCNP or CCIE-level certificationWorking environment: Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to MontréalFluency in English and French requiredHybrid role: 4 days per week on siteParticipation in on-call rotations, including evenings/weekends
