Bilingual Payroll Specialist

What's the Job? Schedule: Monday-Friday (7am-4pm or 8am-5pm) Pay Rate: $21.89 12 Month Contract The Pay Administrator supports accurate and compliant payroll operations through timekeeping administration, inquiry resolution, and payroll input processing. This role serves as a payroll subject matter expert, promotes self service adoption, and partners with HR and Finance to improve processes and ensure efficient pay delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage Tier 2 timekeeping inquiries and resolve complex payroll issues. Prepare and submit timekeeping files; support pay corrections, one-time payments, awards, and reimbursements. Ensure accurate execution of collective agreement changes and support on cycle/off cycle payroll runs. Educate employees and leaders on payroll policies and self-service tools; act as gatekeeper for special pay requests. Provide onsite support and direct employees to appropriate channels. Support system updates, testing, and process improvement initiatives using Lean principles. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field; or HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience. Minimum 2 years of payroll, timekeeping, or HR operations experience. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and timekeeping systems. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Workday preferred) and reporting tools. Lean/process optimization experience preferred.
