Cloud Insights is expanding our Security Architecture practice and we're looking for a Principal Solutions Architect to lead high-impact security programs for major enterprise customers across Canada and globally.This role is for a senior technical leader experienced in designing and governing complex security architectures across cloud, network, identity, data protection, and enterprise SaaS environments. You will work directly with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations, consulting with CISOs, CTOs, and technical leadership teams to secure large-scale, multi-cloud environments.The successful candidate will lead architecture design, solution governance, and end-to-end technical execution for AI Security & Governance, Secure Service Edge (SSE), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), and Cloud Security solutions serving Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprise customers.The candidate will work with engineering teams, AI researchers, product managers, and enterprise customers to design secure AI architectures, implement model guardrails, and integrate AI safety controls across multi-cloud environments and enterprise SaaS ecosystems.This role requires a unique and highly specialized combination of expertise:15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise security architecture and AI security governanceDeep expertise in LLM adoption, AI risk mitigation, adversarial testing, cloud security, and agentic frameworksProven track record delivering security solutions for Canadian financial institutions and understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements (PIPEDA)Principal-level leadership with C-suite advisory capabilities and demonstrated revenue impact ($10M+)Enterprise-grade solution architecture experience serving organizations with 50,000+ users across regulated industriesThe role demands the ability to evaluate AI models, secure multi-agent workflows, perform AI red teaming, and guide enterprises on responsible AI deployment while maintaining compliance with Canadian and international data protection regulations.ResponsibilitiesArchitect secure and scalable AI Security, SSE, CASB, DLP, DSPM, and Cloud Security solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and major SaaS platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, ServiceNow, Box)Lead enterprise AI architecture design, including LLM security, model guardrails, prompt validation, secure RAG patterns, and AI risk governance frameworks aligned with NIST AI RMF and OWASP LLM Top 10Perform AI red teaming, adversarial prompt testing, and vulnerability analysis to identify model manipulation, jailbreak attempts, unsafe responses, hallucination risks, and data leakage vulnerabilitiesDefine runtime guardrails for AI/LLM applications including output filtering, hallucination detection, context isolation, access controls, and inference-time DLP enforcementEvaluate and secure AI/agent platforms such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGPT, ensuring safe tool use, sandboxing, chain-of-thought protection, and multi-agent workflow securityDesign and document complete AI and cloud reference architectures, solution blueprints, integration patterns, and implementation guidelines for enterprise customersConduct architectural assessments of customer environments, identifying gaps in security, compliance, data governance, AI usage workflows, and cloud adoption readinessDevelop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Shell, SQL, and REST APIs for AI data pipelines, cloud monitoring, security orchestration, logging, and operational efficiencyCollaborate with engineering teams to influence product roadmap for AI governance features, LLM safety controls, cloud security enhancements, and analytics capabilities based on field insights and competitive intelligenceProvide deep technical leadership during pre-sales engagements, including executive demos, architecture workshops, PoCs, solution fit analysis, competitive displacement strategies, and C-level technical briefingsTroubleshoot complex multi-cloud, AI, and security issues involving networking, IAM, data protection, SaaS integrations, API security, and AI inference pipelinesLead executive-level discussions with CISOs, CTOs, and Board members on AI adoption strategy, cloud risk governance, Zero Trust implementation, and secure enterprise architecture solutionsPerform technical evaluations of AI/LLM platforms, model hosting services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI), vector databases, embedding pipelines, and secure RAG architecturesGuide the creation of security policies for corporate AI use, including user access rules, model isolation, prompt monitoring, safe data handling, and responsible AI deployment practicesAnalyze structured and unstructured data flows to implement proper encryption, tokenization, data residency controls, classification, and audit logging across cloud and SaaS environmentsDesign GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC2, PIPEDA-compliant data protection architectures for regulated industries including financial services, healthcare, and public sectorPartner with engineering, support, sales engineering, and customer success teams to ensure smooth delivery of AI and cloud security solutions with 95%+ customer satisfactionMentor technical teams on AI safety principles, secure cloud architectures, deployment best practices, and customer-facing technical leadershipDrive competitive wins against major vendors (Netskope, Zscaler, McAfee) through superior architecture design and technical differentiationServe as customer advocate in quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessionsQualifications:15+ years of progressive experience in Solutions Engineering, Security Architecture, Cloud Security, and Enterprise SaaS deploymentsProven expertise with SSE, CASB, DLP, DSPM, encryption, tokenization, SaaS security, and Zero Trust security architecturesExtensive experience evaluating and deploying LLM-based systems, AI security controls, agentic frameworks, and responsible AI governance in enterprise production environmentsDemonstrated experience delivering security solutions for Canadian financial institutions with understanding of PIPEDA and Canadian regulatory compliance requirementsTrack record of driving $10M+ in revenue through technical leadership of enterprise security transformation programsExperience serving Fortune 500/Global 2000 customers across financial services, healthcare, telecom, and high-tech sectorsProven success architecting solutions for organizations
