SAP Test Lead

You'll help one of Canada's most trusted organizations work on the latest project, and be rewarded with great opportunities.Responsibilities:Leading a team of testing professionals in providing a broad range of test services and solutions, ensuring established standards are met, planned objectives are achieved and assuring all work within the established Frameworks for testing planning, delivery, execution, measurement and continuous process improvement.Pro-active engagement with all involved stakeholders (project team members, third party vendors/ service partners and IT teams) to deliver all phases of testingProvide input to and review of Project Test Strategy, Test Plan and Entry/Exit criteria with appropriate project partnersManage, create, and deliver testing plans that align with the SDLC selected for the projectEnsure the test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately and track test phase entry/exit criteria as agreed to by all stakeholdersLead the team in planning, preparing and executing effective test efforts for all phases of FSM testing across multiple releasesResponsible for review and interpretation of requirement traceability matrix to driving testing business requirementsPrimary liaison for testing resources and business participants on user acceptance test supportManage and support the release QA team in creating reusable test assets for both manual and automated test scripts for all phases of testingMonitor, assess and mitigate testing risks; monitor and track testing progressManage the defect process ensuring defects are documented, tracked and reported to facilitate timely fixesEnsure timely notification of issues/problems and make recommendations for issue/problem resolution to project team and resolve and/or escalate testing issues where requiredReport the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updated to the project team using quality metricsPrioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduledManage effective use of testing tools and testing automation process fundamentalsContribute to project readiness assessments and participate and contribute to lessons learnedLead the continuous, measured improvement of testing processes, strategies, plans and frameworksProvide assistance/guidance to direct reports on policy, procedures, testing tasks and training in general.Must Have:Minimum 10 years of experience working in an SAP as a Quality Assurance Lead/Manager or similar roleMinimum 10 years of experience working in an SAP project environment with +5 project implementations deliveredExpert knowledge of Business Processes in Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail, WMS an assetHighly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate openly and effectively with all levels of diverse functional groups to achieve mutual understandings and resultsPromotes an environment conducive to creativity; always seeking and receptive to new ideas and approachesStrong analytical and technical investigation skillsEffective listening skills and flexibility in approach to solutionsDemonstrated ability to work independentlyAbility to reliably execute to a plan and demonstrated dependability and ownership to ensure project successExpert level experience in Test Management Tools; experience with Jira considered an assetAbout Drake International:Since 1951, Drake International has been a global leader in flexible and permanent staffing, connecting people with the right roles at any career stage, both in Canada and worldwide.
