Job Title: Senior Manager, Azure Cloud InfrastructureAbout the Role:We are assisting our non-for-profit client in downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Manager to lead their Azure cloud and AI operations. This hands-on role manages a small team of 4 direct reports, building secure, automated, and scalable infrastructure to support digital products, fundraising, and data initiatives. The ideal candidate is technically strong with infrastructure and DevOps experience, able to think strategically while executing in the trenches. This role requires someone who can guide and grow the team, wear multiple hats, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.Location: Primarily remote with occasional on-site visits (1-2 times per month) - Downtown Toronto preferredCompensation & Benefits:Base salary: approx. $130,000-$150,000 (+ matching pension plan).Generous time-off: 20 vacation days, 10 personal days, 10 wellness daysOpportunity to lead critical cloud infrastructure, make a meaningful impact, and work in a values-aligned, mission-driven organization.Key Responsibilities:Set the vision and strategy for Azure cloud infrastructure and AI-driven operations.Lead, coach, and mentor a small, high-performing cloud engineering team.Be hands-on in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, observability frameworks, and AI-assisted operations.Partner with cybersecurity, data, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.Oversee cloud governance, cost management, performance, and incident response.Drive standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement across the infrastructure lifecycle.Qualifications:10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations, including 5+ years in a formal people-leadership role.Strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure, with DevOps experience; hands-on Azure experience is required.Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates), CI/CD automation, and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).Experience managing small teams with a focus on guidance, growth, and hands-on leadership.Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and "get into the weeds."Experience in non-profit or medium-sized for-profit environments preferred; entrepreneurial mindset is a plus.Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400) and exposure to ethical AI or data-driven automation are a plus.
