Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer with a strong eye for user experience and interface design. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our client-facing portal and internal applications, with a focus on creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. You will work closely with our product and backend teams to translate requirements into high-quality, responsive, and accessible web applications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of web applications using the latest version of React.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.Implement robust state management using NgRx or similar state management libraries.Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Develop and maintain a consistent design system with reusable components, typography, and color schemes.Build responsive interfaces that function optimally across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.Ensure all interfaces comply with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.Implement bilingual support (English and French) for the client-facing portal.Write comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests using tools like Cypress, achieving minimum 80% code coverage.Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and services.Implement security best practices including CSP headers, input validation, and CSRF protection.Actively use Github Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality.Support CI/CD integration for automated build and deployment processes.Required Technical SkillsExpert-level proficiency in React (latest stable version) and TypeScript.Strong experience with UX/UI design principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.Experience with state management libraries such as NgRx.Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and implementation.Experience with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress).Familiarity with build tools and package managers (Webpack, npm).Understanding of RESTful API integration and asynchronous programming.Experience with version control systems (Git) and Github Copilot.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and browser compatibility issues.Experience Requirements5+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer.Proven track record of delivering complex web applications in production environments.Experience working in startup or fast-paced, agile environments.Portfolio demonstrating strong UX/UI design capabilities and technical implementation.Experience with emerging technologies and modern web development trends.Background in financial technology or regulated industries is a plus.
