About us:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead complex construction and design projects, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. $8,000,000ResponsibilitiesTasks:-Coordinate subcontractors activities-Select trade subcontractors-Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates-Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors-Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress-Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements-Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control-Read blueprint, schemas and drawings-Plan and manage budgets-Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions-Plan and organize construction projects-Prepare and submit progress and other reportsKey responsibilities:-Lead the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client expectations.-Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.-Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.-Manage tender submissions, including take-offs, estimating, pricing, and review of specifications to secure project contracts.-Oversee the setup of projects in construction management software (e.g., Procore), ensuring accurate entry of milestones, contracts, and purchase orders.-Track and monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, addressing issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.-Review and confirm architectural drawings, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building regulations, and client requirements.-Conduct feasibility studies and produce detailed reports to support project decision-making and planning.-Facilitate site visits, meetings, and building surveys to ensure project alignment with on-site conditions and stakeholder needs.-Approve invoices and ensure proper documentation and budget adherence in coordination with accounting teams.-Implement innovative processes to enhance project efficiency, such as streamlined filing systems or standardized drawing protocols.-Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Supervision:-1 to 2 people-ContractorsExperience and specializationComputer and technology knowledge:-Primavera-MS Excel-MS Office-MS Outlook-MS Word-SharePoint-Comfort with industry-standard tools like AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Procore to manage project documentation and workflowsPreferred Skills:-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.-Knowledge of QuickBooks, Procore or similar accounting software for invoice and budget management.-Background in architectural technology or design coordination, with hands-on experience in producing working drawings and conducting site surveys.-Key Competencies:-Project Planning and Control: Expertise in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.-Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members to align project goals.-Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.-Problem Resolution: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex project challenges efficiently.Additional informationSecurity and safety:-Criminal record check-Drug testTransportation/travel information:-Valid driver's licence-Own vehicle-Willing to travelWork conditions and physical capabilities:-Fast-paced environment-Work under pressure-Tight deadlines-Attention to detailOwn tools/equipment:-Steel-toed safety boots-Cellular phonePersonal suitability:-Excellent oral communication-Excellent written communication-Organized-Team player-Accountability-Dependability-ReliabilityHow to apply:-By mail: 279 Midpark Way SE suite 202, Calgary, AB, T2X 1M2How-to-apply instructions:-Here is what you must include in your application: Cover letterThis job posting includes screening questions.
