Founded in 2019, Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy is a proudly Canadian company, comprised of healthcare professionals with extensive specialty medication experience with a location in Mississauga, Ontario, and another in Calgary, Alberta. We mainly deal with patients who require biologics/specialty medications used in the treatment of chronic medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, urticaria, ulcerative colitis, and many others.
At Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy, we provide patient-centric healthcare and assist patients in overcoming the challenges of specialty pharmacy. We utilize innovative strategies to deliver patients access to specialized therapy in a cost-effective, timely and caring manner leading to improved adherence, therapeutic success and overall well-being.
About the position:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Pharmacy Assistant Co-op Student to join our team for a call and delivery role. As a valuable member of our pharmacy team, you will primarily be responsible for handling incoming calls from customers, processing prescription orders accurately, and coordinating timely delivery of medications. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls from customers promptly and professionally.
Coordinate the delivery schedule for prescription medications, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.
Organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
Maintain accurate records of prescription orders, delivery schedules, and customer interactions.
Work collaboratively with other pharmacy staff members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other team members to coordinate tasks and address customer needs
Required Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an asset.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and procedures.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 16 weeks
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
