Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of CNC Torch Operator in our Calgary, AB location.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Experienced in Cutting Milling, Drilling operation.
Able to operate CNC controlled machinery.
Able to read, generate and understand drawings.
Able to provide quality control and accuracy checking for all orders and production of parts.
Able to generate programs at the machine for cutting and machining of parts.
Able to make necessary adjustments to the program at the machine so program is correct depending on the job requirements.
Able to make adjustments to cutting parameters (frequency and power) as needed to ensure optimal cutting conditions.
Able to set up the machine for cutting carbon steel, aluminum, stainless and wear plate (QT100 & 400).
Able to select and ensure proper inventories for all necessary consumables.
Ability to recognize and troubleshoot issues with the machine and its function.
The successful candidates will also be required to do part packaging, cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Required:

Grade 12 or equivalent.
CNC cutting experience. Torch/Laser and/or Press Brake.
Band Saw experience.
Good knowledge of math and measurements.
Good communication skills
Self-motivated, results oriented.

Hourly Rate: $31.78 / hr
