What will you be doing?

  • Fully responsible for the day-to-day and strategic engineering tasks of the plant
  • Maintaining, developing, and operating manufacturing systems and equipment's
  • Responsible for the management of all machinery and equipment's at the plant e.g., the high-pressure boilers and compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, thermo foaming, pasteurizing, sterilising, fire protection machinery etc.
  • Conduct tests to ensure optimum utilization of machinery and resources.
  • Conduct studies on the reliability and performance of all plant facilities and machinery.
  • Maintain and improve control of health and safety, fire, and other hazards of the plant.
  • Upgrade processing systems and determine how best to use the workforce to achieve optimum cost advantages.
  • Solve mechanical production problems that arise within the organization and facilities.
  • Communicate with vendors on equipment purchases, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What do you bring to the job?

  • License type 3 or 4 as a power engineer in Canada
  • 3-5 years experience in Ammonia refrigeration, High pressure boilers and compressors
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience of a manufacturing plant preferably in seafood
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years experience in power engineering, thermo foaming machines, pasteurizing, and sterilising machines, fire protection, production systems, occupational health, and safety, seafood manufacturing machines etc.
