As a skilled technician, you'll play a vital role in evaluating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating endoscopy equipment, electrosurgical devices, and other systems.


What you'll do:

This role is responsible for a variety of functions that include, but are not limited to:

  • Effective use of technical knowledge and experience to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, complete quality performance and testing procedures on endoscopy equipment, electrosurgical equipment and other biomedical equipment as assigned.
  • Attend training on reprocessing, inspection, maintenance and repair processes.
  • Perform bench type processes to complete major/minor repairs on rigid, semirigid and flexible endoscopes based on the QA inspection findings.
  • Perform final quality inspection on the completed repair to ensure the product conforms to manufacturer's original specifications.
  • Preparation of biomedical equipment for customer demonstration and/or conferences.
  • Effective use of technical knowledge and experience to manage customer service issues.
  • Complete all Service Work Order documentation, expense reports, and other assigned reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenances, service calls and assist with the installation of new equipment at healthcare customers' facilities, as required.
  • Work collaboratively and support the service, sales, marketing, logistics, and finances teams to meet the service objective of Quality and Service Excellence to exceed customer expectations.
  • Other task and responsibilities as assigned by your Supervisor as they arise.

Requirements:

The successful individual will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • College Diploma (Electronics Technician or equivalent).
  • 23 years' experience in a Repair Servicerelated position is a definite asset.
  • Highly professional individual with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and selfmotivated, able to work independently yet enjoys collaborating with team members and other departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written business level communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to details, meticulous by nature, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple 'urgent' requests as is the nature of the Service industry.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage and meet tight servicerelated timelines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX, Spire and SharePoint would be an asset but can train as necessary

Test equipment knowledge:

  • Electrosurgical analyzer
  • Oscilloscope
  • Electrical Safety Analyzer
  • Multimeter

Working Conditions:

  • Office and Laboratory (Service Center, Hospitals) environment.
  • Driving to customers' locations (healthcare customers' facilities).
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Lifting or moving up to 30 lbs. may be required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional airfare travel may be required.
  • Monday to Friday during normal business hours, with occasional evening or weekends shifts.
