If you have a keen interest in landscape management and would like to work on the best properties in the province, this position might be for you.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager in execution of irrigation maintenance and irrigation installation projects
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems including irrigation system openings, performing midseason checks, repairs, adjust controllers as needed and winterization of irrigation systems.
  • Inspecting and loading equipment for the day's work and driving to the client's location.
  • Determine irrigation needs based on soil and vegetation type along with mapping out areas for irrigation installation.
  • Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines and installing pumps and controllers.
  • Track irrigation parts inventory and order parts as required
  • Partake in the planning/logístical process for work completion to ensure assignment success
  • Complete in a timely manner records of site visits including description of work completed, staff on site, labour time, materials and document any safety concerns and recommendations
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Work in a safe manner adhering to all safety protocols as instructed by the company or the client
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned or instructed

Job requirements:

  • High school diploma at minimum
  • Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician
  • Knowledge of soil, vegetation, and climate
  • Working knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems (knowledge of plumbing is a bonus)
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to follow direction
  • Solid time management skills
  • Certified Irrigation Technician preferred
  • AR or DZ license preferred with a clean abstract and reliable transportation to our shop
  • Criminal record check required
