The position involves online teaching
the Gulf Dialects of the Arabic Language to highly motivated and committed professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide language / cultural intensive studentcentered training for government professionals using Communicative Language Teaching Approach.
  • Teach speaking, listening, comprehension, reading, and writing skills, as well as geopolitical, economic, cultural, and social issues, in an interactive immersionbased environment.
  • Adhere to provided training plan (curriculum), program standards and objectives.
  • Use technology and authentic & appropriate language resources to create a meaningful and varied learning experience.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers.

Minimum Competencies and Requirements:

  • Be
    a native speaker of Gulf Arabic;
  • Have at least
    a Bachelor's Degree in linguistics, languages, literature, foreign languages teaching, philology, or a related field;
  • Have experience
    teaching the target language to adults learners;
  • Be knowledgeable of the culture and country (
    Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates) associated with the dialect;
  • Be
    proficient in either or both of Canada's official languages (English or/and French);
  • If the Bachelor's Degree is not in linguistics, languages, literature, foreign languages teaching, philology, have at least
    500 hours of experience teaching the target language to adult learners;
  • Be
    capable of using information & multimedia technology & tools, mobile devices;
  • Be
    willing to complete CFSL certification.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

Salary:
$30.00 per hour
