Wind Turbine Technician

ENERCON is currently looking for
Electrical Wind turbine Technician for a permanent full-time position in our
Nation Rise service center in Limoges, ON.

• Plan the inspections and prepare necessary tools and materials for the work
• Perform routine checks
• Drive to various sites
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of the turbine tower
• Identify and resolve issues/faults
• Check the central lubrication system
• Perform preventive inspection inside and outside of the blades, by telescope and wired camera
• Track time, tools, parts, daily logs and all ENERCON assets on a daily basis
• Collect data and write reports in the SAP system
• Use various precision instruments (metrology) provided according to the instructions
• Perform all daily tasks while adhering strictly to ENERCONs quality and safety standards

• Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or Wind Turbine Technician training college program
• 35 years experience in wind turbine or electrical maintenance or mechanical (an asset)
• Electrical Journeyman Certificate and Red-Seal (is an asset)
• Basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Valid driver's license
• Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and customer relation skills
• Availability for overtime, oncall weekend shifts and overnight travel
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
• Safety awareness and solid knowledge of standards and main electrical safety rules
• Ability to read technical drawing (Blueprints) and circuit diagrams
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures
• Understanding and ability to use the personal protective equipment properly (PPE)
