JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all facility change projects, review costs and schedule to minimize workplace disruption and be the liaison with all contractors working in the facility.
  • Provide support to Production ensuring continuous operation of equipment with troubleshooting, repairs, and training of operators in setups, adjustments, or changeovers.
  • Maintain safe and clean work areas and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Enforce specific requirements for facilities and equipment to meet unique operating needs, in addition to building and safety codes, help develop regular inspections as part of a preventative maintenance program.
  • Identify opportunities and solutions to leadership regarding process improvement opportunities or potential equipment risks.
  • Adhere to lock out protocols and utilize required safety gear.
  • Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
  • Install parts and assemblies such as hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, lubricants, and batteries into machines and mechanisms.
  • Assist in determining required equipment or services and coordinate purchases for various projects and daytoday activities within Operations.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program on facilities and on new and existing equipment.
  • Other necessary job duties as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • 5 or more years of previous experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing facility is essential.
  • Experience related to mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic devices.
  • Technical College diploma in specialized technical electrical mechanical training or equivalent proven experience.
