The Parking Attendant is responsible for working designated parking areas or booths at a pay-for-parking entrance/exit

This position will also:

direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas; collect parking fees; monitor parking lots to check for required permits; ensure vehicles are parked in designated spaces; provide information to visitors and staff; ensure vehicles are not blocking traffic flow; and act as the first point of contact for customers and guests.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Reports to designated parking area or a booth at a payforparking entrance/exit during established lot hour
  • Directs drivers of vehicles to appropriate parking areas.
  • Monitors and/or patrols lots to check for required permits and to ensure cars are parked in designated spaces and not blocking traffic flow.
  • First point of contact with customers in for the company which sets the standard for customer service at the facility; the first impression is very important.
  • Carry out all activities in a fair and courteous manner to ensure a positive public perception of REAL.
  • Contribute to the delivery and review of service standards, quality and performance targets in accordance with the policy and procedure.
  • The job requires the attendants to be highly visible and act as "eyes and ears" of REAL.
  • Help to enhance the positive perception of "customer care" to provide prompt reporting of potential and existing problem areas.
  • Performs other duties on an as and when required basis.

WHAT IT TAKES

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO ALL REGINA PATS HOME GAMES BETWEEN January 1, 2024 to March 22, 2024: please review the linked schedules closely.

  • Grade 12 education or GED is preferred.
  • Must be at least Nineteen (16) years of age.
  • Able to walk/stand for full duration of shift.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
  • Ability to work conscientiously and with mínimal direction.
  • This position is an inscope position under the RWDSU Collective Agreement.
  • May work odd or long hours at a time to complete operational requirements, projects or to participate in or coordinate evening and offhour activities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
  • Note that this position is an inscope position under the RWDSU Collective Agreement.
