Climbing Arborist

After 15 years as a qualified and certified Arborist, Arbor Solutions was founded out of a passion for trees and with the goal of doing things differently.

We are passionate about Arboriculture and like to refer to our roles as playing in ALL aspects of the Lower mainland's urban tree to human interface.

This position will have key input into their day-to-day work and arboriculture craft.

As an Arborist ready to put their knowledge, practice, and passion into an exciting and rewarding team:

• You hold your education as necessary to your practice and have evidence of continual growth and learning since your ISA certification or other arboriculture qualification.
• You have evidence to show you can and are willing and able to function as a lead person onsite, managing up to 3 staff members and other contractors if required.
• You can manage yourself as an industrial athlete.
• Climbing proficiently and safely while meeting reasonable targets and deadlines.
• You realize that we rely on you to be fit for work, and we will assist with this.
• You can both spurless and spur climb trees as you understand the need for different tools for different jobs.
• You are trained in aerial rigging in trees and are confident in large tree removals in tight spaces.
• You are comfortable and confident with modern tree work tools, including. MRS, SRT climbing systems. Rope tools, advanced rigging devices, and equipment use cranes in tree removals.
• You have the practice and ability to communicate your thoughtout ideas to better the work experience for your team.
• You hold your TRAQ certification or similar and are familiar with arborist reports, how to read them and how to compile them.
• You are honored to pass on your knowledge and learned tricks to the apprentices and are excited to assist in their training.
• Full or N Class 5 Drivers license is required for this role
• Eligible to legally work in Canada

We offer market-based compensation to the right person and envision this role ranging from $ $40.00 per hour for this full-time role.

Equipment, benefits, training, and the remaining parts of the compensation package will be discussed with mutually-interested parties.

Salary:
$30.00-$40.00 per hour

• Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
