As a
Team Captain, you are a vital member of the Manufacturing team focused on the training and development of the Millshop team, upholding Loewen quality and safety standards, while ensuring all materials meet productions needs in a timely manner.

Duties:
- Help create a safety first culture within the department
- Help lead the department in achieving and exceeding quality targets
- Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
- Provide good customer service when partnering with other departments
- Ability to spend 8090% of workday on the floor
- Lead meetings
- Assist with problem solving and investigations
- Help implement and sustain process changes or new equipment/tools
- AS400 utilization, including investigative work and time and attendance
- Develop cross training/succession plan for department
- Planning and preparedness for each day, insuring we have a robust staffing and doable work plan
- Effective partnering with Evening team to help create a one team environment
Requirements:
- Passion for leadership and personal development
- Ability to work independently (selfmotivated)
- Ability to understand and write simple correspondences as well as verbal communication in English
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and motivate team members
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs repetitively
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, communicating and connecting with team
Assets:
- Knowledge of department processes
- Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- AS400 experience
