Industrial / Remote Medics (EMR / PCP / ACP)

We are looking for bright, skilled medics to be part of our team and have immediate, on-call, short-term and/or long term upcoming projects within Alberta

What We Offer:

  • Casual; oncall assignments as needed
  • Long and/or shortterm project work

Fair Pay:

  • We pay per employment standards, an hourly wage and overtime (8/44 rule in Alberta).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a quick response to medical emergencies in an industrial setting
  • Assess and attend to patient?s injuries; determine a course of treatment
  • Provide firstaid or support to injured workers
  • Effectively communicate status and next steps of the injured worker to emergency services
  • Clean and decontaminate vehicles (mobile treatment center) and/or clinic area and maintain areas in a state of operational/medical readiness
  • Ensure all reporting and communication requirements are adhered to regarding incidents, injuries, and treatment Maintain confidential patient medical documentation and reports as per governing body requirements

Personal Characteristics

  • Highly skilled and well known for bringing order to chaos; especially when patients are scared, in pain or shock from an injury.
  • Caring yet take control type of personality. The ability to take a calm and logical approach to emergency situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Functional knowledge of computer operations, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Effectively organize and prioritize situations and activities ranging from urgent patient care issues to routine office and clinic duties Reliable, dependable, and capable of working in a fastpaced team environment

Requirements:

  • Current (unrestricted) registration as an EMR/PCP/ACP/OFA3/AFA with the respective provincial College of Paramedics.
  • Valid Class 4 / Class 5 driver?s license ? A current drivers abstract will be requested.
  • Current tickets: Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, TDG, WHMIS, Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
