Technician, Structures


As a key member of the Structures team, the Technician will report to the Supervisor, Structures, and will be responsible for sheet metal and minor composite repairs, refinishing, painting, and minor machining on our CRJ and DH8 fleet.


What does a Technician, Structures do?

  • Restore or repair defects using unique aircraft fastening hardware, composite materials, chemicals, adhesives, paints, and têxtiles.
  • Manufacture aircraft equipment, components, or replacement parts from base metals using special cutting tools and machines.
  • Fabricate and repair aircraft structures using metal, composite, fiberglass, têxtiles, leather, plastic, and synthetic components.
  • Ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies, and procedures.
  • Inspect aircraft structural components and zones to identify problems and adjust/repair the defects according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.
  • Actively participate in Voyageur's safety culture, including reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations through our Safety Management System, and understand and comply with and promote the company's safety culture.

What you bring to the table

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance
  • Structures from a Transport Canada approved educational institution.
  • Related work experience in an aviation environment is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Work effectively both in an individual and team environment.
  • Previous Aircraft Maintenance Engineer experience is required such as: aircraft maintenance, aviation, aircraft mechanic, aerospace, aircraft technician, structures, _
