We invite applications for a full-time teaching opportunity at St. Andrew's College in the role of Business Studies and Economics Teacher reporting to the Deputy Head of School. This position is a one-year contract for the / academic year.

The school seeks an exceptional educator to teach Business Studies, Technology Design, and Economics at the Upper School level. Ideally, candidates will showcase their experiences with investment and business case studies, including DECA challenges.

The individual in this role will collaborate with colleagues to ensure program excellence, with an expectation of high standards of learning, student progress, and support. In consultation with members of the department and the Director, Academics, the Business and Economics teacher will be expected to be flexible with their course offerings and to prepare and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum, compelling instructional practices, and consistent department policy and alignment with the Growing Success criteria.

Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Education, ideally with Business Studies qualifications, and preferably are certified to teach in Ontario or be in pursuit of this designation. The ideal candidate will have outstanding academic credentials and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the many facets of school life, including extra-curricular responsibilities. High-end coaching experience will prove to be a strong asset for applicants. Additionally, we seek candidates with a demonstrated willingness to participate in and/or lead EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives within the community.
