Job Summary:
The Route Sales Representative meets our customers needs through up-selling/cross-selling and provides superior customer service through proactively managing all route responsibilities. Performs other duties as required. Reports to the District Manager.

Essential Functions:
- Solicit new customers, up-sell/cross-sell/sample all lines of service or product and ensure a profitable product mix.
- Actively participate in promotions and contests, training and audits.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding installation of new customers, managing customer needs and all aspects of service. Performance goals must be met on a regular basis.
- Ensure customer loyalty, retention and provide outstanding customer service. Build relationships, communicate openly, educate customers, manage customer needs and proactively resolve concerns in cooperation with supervision.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections.
- Handle and process customer payments. Keep route paperwork current.
- Ensure timely and correct deliveries of complete textile loads, pick up soiled textiles and maintain proper inventories in accounts. Service items such as facility maintenance products.
- Monitor and report competitive activity. Keep service agreements current and renewed.
- Return from route and off load soiled textiles in the receiving area of facility.
- Accurately prepare route paperwork and follow check-in procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.

Additional Functions:
- May work with and support other service personnel as required by supervision.
Qualifications:
- Have and maintain a valid drivers license, CDL when applicable, and be 21 years or older.
- Have and maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or safety violations.
- Demonstrate excellent skills in the operation of vehicles and have a verifiable minimum one year experience of safe and successful driving.
- Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service and route sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as good time management skills and team player.
- Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately.
Education:
- High School graduation or similar experience.

Travel Requirements:
- Daily, by delivery vehicle within a route.

Typical Environmental Conditions:
- Operating vehicles on public roads, in and out of customer locations, loading areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center or depot.
- Indoor and outdoor areas of a typical industrial facility.

Typical Physical Activity:
- Physical Demands - sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, climbing stairs, moving carts up to 500 lbs, lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, writing, speaking, hearing.

Fonctions principales :
– Sollicite de nouveaux clients, vend des articles de qualité supérieure ou effectue des ventes croisées, offre des échantillons de toutes les gammes de services ou de produits et assure la rentabilité de la gamme de produits.
– Participe activement aux promotions, aux concours, aux formations et aux audits.
– Suit les politiques et procédures de l'entreprise concernant l'implantation des nouveaux clients, la gestion des besoins des clients et tous les aspects du service. Les objectifs de rendement doivent être atteints sur une base régulière.
– Assure la fidélité de la clientèle, la rétention et fournit un service à la clientèle exceptionnel. Établi des relations, communique ouvertement, éduque les clients, gère les besoins des clients et résoud les problèmes de façon proactive en collaboration avec la supervision.
– Conduit un véhicule de livraison de façon sécuritaire, en respectant toutes les lois et les politiques de l'entreprise applicables. Garde le véhicule propre et effectuer de façon régulière des inspections de celui-ci.
– Traite les paiements des clients. Garde les documents de l'itinéraire à jour.
– Assure la livraison rapide et adéquate des charges textiles complètes, ramasse les textiles souillés et maintient les stocks appropriés dans les comptes. Les articles de service tels que les produits d'entretien des installations.
– Surveille et signale les activités de la concurrence. Maintient les ententes de services à jour et renouvelées.
– Retourne et décharge les textiles souillés dans la zone de réception de l'installation.
– Prépare avec précision les documents relatifs à l'itinéraire et suit les procédures de vérification.
– Suit les instructions écrites et verbales et effectue d'autres tâches selon les directives de la supervision.

Fonctions additionnelles :
– Peut travailler avec ou soutenir d'autres membres du personnel du service selon les exigences de la supervision.
Compétences :
– Détient et maintient un permis de conduire valide, conducteur de véhicules commerciaux, le cas échéant et a 21 ans ou plus.
– Détient et conserve un dossier de conduite exempt d'accidents, d'excès de vitesse, ou infractions relatives à la sécurité.
– Fait preuve d'excellentes compétences dans l'opération des véhicules et posséder au moins un an d'expérience de conduite sécuritaire et réussie.
– Fait preuve d'excellentes compétences en service à la clientèle et en ventes sur la route.
– Excellentes aptitudes pour la communication orale et écrite en anglais, capacité à comprendre et à suivre les directives, ainsi que d'excellentes aptitudes pour la gestion du temps et l'esprit d'équipe.
– Reconnaît les couleurs, les tailles et les types de produits et compte, additionne et soustrait avec précision.
Éducation :
– Diplôme d'études secondaires ou expérience similaire.

Exigences relatives aux déplacements :
– Tous les jours, par véhicule selon un itinéraire.

Conditions environnementales typiques :
– Conduit des véhicules sur les routes publiques, à l'intérieur et l'extérieur des sites des clients, dans les zones de chargement d'une installation de buanderie industrielle typique, dans un centre de service ou un dépôt.
– Aires intérieures et extérieures d'une installation industrielle typique.

Activité physique reliée à l'emploi :
– Exigences physiques : s'asseoir, saisir, conduire, se pencher, monter les escaliers, déplacer des chariots pesants jusqu'à 500 lb, lever des charges d'un maximum de 75 lb, se tenir debout, marcher, écrire, parler, écouter.
