The QA Inspector is a crucial member of the team responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship in cabinet installations.

This role involves performing thorough inspections, generating detailed reports in Site Audit Pro, and addressing any issues promptly to uphold Gem Cabinets' reputation for excellence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare comprehensive quality reports postinstallation for documentation and future reference or followup:
  • Record and manage stock items returned from the site.
  • Ensure each installation is performed according to Gem Cabinets' Standards of Installation and note when an Installation Subcontractor is to return to a job site to complete any workmanship concerns.
  • Detect and report installation, site, safety, product, and design issues.
  • Address issues onsite whenever feasible.
  • Create Hazard Assessments for each project and consistently follow company safety policies and procedures on every site.
  • Communicate with Site Superintendents on any site issues or site safety concerns.
  • Conduct occasional preinstall inspection for site readiness conditions.
  • Perform necessary basic service repairs when required.
  • Ensure timely followup on assigned projects.
  • Provide timely feedback to the Installation Administrator regarding ongoing product concerns.
  • Oversee and drive completion of designated multifamily projects.
  • Occasionally handle the delivery and pick up manageable items from job sites.
  • Attend quarterly safety meetings for the Installation / QA Department.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in kitchen cabinet installation fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cabinet manufacturing processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices in cabinet making.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and compose work orders.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to identify and implement improvements with limited direction.
  • Proficiency in performing mathematical calculations, reading technical information, and analyzing situations.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication with colleagues and other departments.
  • Strong problemsolving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to perform consistently under pressure and handle pressure professionally.
  • Can remain calm and clearheaded in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work effectively with interruptions and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and follow up consistently.
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.

Pay:
$28.00-$35.00 per hour
