We are currently seeking a
Geotechnical Drilling Supervisor to work out of our
Kitchener office.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical services in a field and office environment;
  • Perform site reconnaissance, inspections, and observations;
  • Carry out field work related to geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeological investigations including, but not limited to:
  • Borehole layout and organizing utility locates
  • Supervising drill rigs and/or excavators
  • Logging boreholes and test pits
  • Classification of soil samples
  • Identification of groundwater table
  • Environmental sampling
  • Site surveying to determine elevations at specific locations, and
  • Sampling soil and groundwater
  • Preparing detailed site sketches;
  • Assist with summarizing and analyzing findings from investigations and lab testing for report writing;
  • Work with and provide support to other members of the group in assisting with other field and office activities as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician/Technology or Construction Engineering Technician Engineering Technician/Technology is considered an asset;
  • 5+ years previous experience working as a geotechnical, hydrogeological, and/or environmental technician;
  • Working towards C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation is considered an asset;


 CCIL
  • Category "0" Concrete Technician is considered an asset;


 CCIL
  • Category "C' Aggregate technician is considered an asset;
  • Team player with ability to work independently or in a team environment;
  • Strong technical report writing skills and verbal communication skills;
  • Must own a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage, and hold a valid driver's license;
  • Strong organizational skills; and,
  • Knowledge of drilling procedures is an asset.
