Hazardous Waste Technician

Principales fonctions:
Relevant du superviseur des matières dangereuses, le technicien planifie, organise, supervise et participe aux activités reliées au département des matières dangereuses dans l'usine.
Le technicien collabore étroitement avec les superviseurs de l'usine, les équipes des départements de matières dangereuses, des substances contrôlées et des opérations, à l'atteinte des objectifs stratégiques de l'entreprise et formule des recommandations en vue d'améliorer l'efficacité des opérations et de tous les processus qui y sont associés.
Plus spécifiquement vous aurez à:
- Effectuer l'identification, la pesée et l'entreposage des matières résiduelles dangereuses dans l'usine.
- Effectuer la ségrégation des matières dangereuses en évaluant la dangerosité des produits en consultant les fiches de données de sécurité, les informations d'analyses ou tout autre document pertinent.
- Faire la classification/identification des matières dangereuses selon le règlement sur les matières dangereuses et la loi sur la qualité de l'environnement
- Procéder à des analyses simples pour confirmer la nature physico-chimique des rejets
- Offrir le service de codification et d'emballage des matières dangereuses chez les clients
- Identifier et signaler la présence de risques chimiques
- Collaborer avec les différents départements en répondant aux questions concernant la réception et la gestion à l'interne de matières dangereuses.
- Effectuer, en collaboration avec l'équipe, la préparation et la planification des envois des matières dangereuses chez les différents fournisseurs.
- Comprendre le processus de facturation des bons de réception
- En collaboration avec le superviseur, s'assurer du bon déroulement des opérations dans le département
- Identifier les non-conformités et rédiger des rapports qui seront communiqués aux clients
- Travailler en équipe afin de s'assurer que l'identification et l'entreposage des matières soient conformes aux règlements sur les matières dangereuses et respectent le plan de l'usine.
- Participer à la gestion des déversements de matières dangereuses dans l'usine en accord avec les procédures établies et sous la supervision des chimistes.
Aptitudes et Exigences de l'emploi
- 3 à 5 années d'expérience dans un domaine pertinent.
- Qualités recherchées: communication interpersonnelle, minutie, organisation, autonomie, concentration, sens de l'urgence, multitâche, sociable.
- Fortes aptitudes en relations interpersonnelles et capacités d'apprentissage.
- Capacité à prêter attention aux détails
- Personne dynamique, énergique, motivée ayant une attitude positive
- Être en bonne forme physique, capacité de soulever des charges de 20 kg ;
- Connaissance dans le domaine de l'environnement, du Règlement du transport des matières dangereuses et du SIMDUT/SGH constituent des atouts.
- Noter que le port du masque complet est nécessaire sur une base quotidienne dépendant des différentes tâches reliées à l'identification et à la ségrégation des matières.
