Our R&D team includes Detector Scientists who support delivery of our world-leading photon-counting detector technology to major system OEMs for photon-counting computed tomography (PCCT).


Key Responsibilities:

As Test Lead**:

  • Test Management & Leadership:
  • Oversee weekly test planning and daily test syncups, ensuring efficient test execution.
  • Work closely with Reliability Detector and Data scientists to ensure timely execution of Reliability tests, data management, and analysis.
  • Perform and report capacity planning, using inhouse tools, including several test tanks, test boxes, and other experimental tools/setups.
  • Lead a team of three test technologists, removing roadblocks and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Technical Coordination & Improvement:
  • Formulate and communicate R&D requirements for new test setups/procedures in collaboration with Verification & Validation (V&V), Detector Physics, Test Engineering, and other teams within Redlen.
  • Oversee the integration of new test setups and/or hardware/software improvements, ensuring best practices in test SOPs, trainings, and procedures.

As Detector Scientist:

  • Research & Development:
  • Explore, define, and establish key attributes of xray detector performance, focusing on highflux operations relevant to photoncounting computed tomography (PCCT).
  • Lead advanced experimental and analytical aspects of device reliability, including componentlevel investigations and development of a consistent framework for reliabilityspecific analysis and reporting.
  • Technical Expertise & Innovation:
  • Lead root cause determination efforts for Reliability failures where appropriate, or when coming from customer failure reports.
  • Execute sensor
- and detector
- level performance characterization experiments. Utilize advanced data analysis capability to support failure mode analysis and product reliability programs. Communicate results.

  • Support the Process Development, Detector Physics, Crystal Growth teams by characterizing properties of interest as applicable.
Each Detector Scientist is accountable for several, but not necessarily all, of the items above.

Qualifications:

Experience Required

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Solid background in semiconductor devices, materials, and physics, including characterization and test methods.
  • Handson experience in experimental design, and setup.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with process engineering tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Proven track record of leadership in a technical setting.
  • Strive to create and support an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to manage responsibilities to all project stakeholders proactively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, crossfunctional team environment.

Education:

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent.
